About The District

As our New Jersey communities continue to grow, we are faced with the challenge of conserving our natural resources at the same time that we consume them.

Agricultural Assistance

State funding for conservation incentives and installations is available through the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, State Soil Conservation Committee in cooperation with local soil conservation districts.

Soil Erosion

The Soil and Sediment Control Act of 1976 stipulates that any project proposing more than 5,000 square feet of soil disturbance must have a Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan certified by the local District to ensure that the project meets State Standards.
